Born and raised in tiny little town in the-middle-of-nowhere, Kansas, my love of rural practice began at a young age. I completed my undergraduate studies in 2014 at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, receiving my BA in psychology and BAS in Human Services.  It was here that I found my love of working with children exhibiting mental health struggles.  I have had the opportunity to provide services to youth, with and without disabilities in traditional and non-traditional settings for over eight years.  In 2016, I finished my Masters in School Psychology and have continued my passion working with children experiencing severe disruptive behaviors and mental health concerns.  My areas of focus include prevention and treatment of adolescent emotional and behavioral disorders, increasing children’s motivation for change, the impact of trauma in youth and adolescents, and systemic behavioral modification to elicit positive change.  I look forward to serving any child that walks through CHTA’s doors with care that is evidenced based and trauma informed.
