Our Story

April 26th, 2018

We would like to thank everyone that was there to support us for our very first Karaoke Night Fundraiser. It was night of relaxation and enjoyment for all. In total we raised $90.
We hope you would join us at out next fundraiser soon!

Starting 2018 with 3 New Members on Our Team!

It's such a joy to see our team expanding so that we can provide better service for the community. I would like you all to welcome: EmmeAnna (Emme) Brandt - our new administrative assistant, Adriana (Adri) Valverde - our website manager, and Cassandra (Cassie) Williams- our new provider.

Our Family Is Your Family

Our family at the Center For Healing Trauma and Attachment added yoga therapy to our list of treatments recently,which got more than just our patients involved! To your left is our founder's youngest child, striking a yoga pose in the great outdoors. Doreen and her family had the chance to have an adventure this summer, and they brought our love of mental health awareness across the country!

September 28, 2017

CHTA was joined by Mary Durant from The Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking, for a training to help understand and prevent Human Trafficking. We were happy to see so many familar and new faces. Thank you all who came.

We Welcome Jesse Mansen to Our Team!

In August 2017, we welcome Jesse to our CHTA team.  Jesse will join the rest of CHTA Providers to deliver quality treatment and interventions to people we serve.  Jesse has extensive trainings on sexual assault and play therapy.including sand tray

March 3, 2017

Andrea Shindle, one of our providers here at CHTA, has facilitated secure attachment training with Morgan family center. We are excited to see what this collaboration will bring to our community!

CHTA is fortunate to have collaborations with;

Allie continue to provide YOGA FOR PROFESSIONALS and will continue to expand the YOGA program for children and families served under CHTA.  Allie continue to grow, excel, and share the mind and body healing YOGA provides.  Check out our YOGA page to see Allie's cool poses

December 9th and 10th, 2016

CHTA providers attended intense trauma training from world renowned therapist and researcher, Bessel Van Der Kolk. Our founder, Doreen Hills, had the opportunity to speak with Bessel as well.  

October 28-29, 2016

Doreen attended ATTACHMENT-FOCUSED EMDR (Healing Developmental Deficits and Adults Abused As Children).  She had the honor to meet Dr. Parnell, Clinical Psychologist, Founder and Executive Director of Parnell Institute.  She is a leading expert on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  Dr. Parnell has written 5 books on EMDR as well as articles and a book chapter.  She is one of the most respected instructors of EMDR trainings and workshops.  She also teaches nationally and internationally.
